The early autumn sun remains blazing, and inside Shandong Daxin New Materials Co., Ltd. in Yitang Town, Lanshan District, the atmosphere is bustling with activity. Walking into the production workshop, two assembly lines are running at full capacity, swiftly fulfilling a batch of orders. Speaking of the second production line, the company’s general manager, Liu Wei, specifically highlighted the support provided by the Party branch of the Yitang Town Wood Industry Park.
In July this year, Shandong Daxin New Materials Co., Ltd. urgently needed to add a new production line to expand its capacity. Faced with a funding gap of over 10 million yuan, Liu Wei found himself in a difficult situation. During outreach and support visits, the Party branch of the Wood Industry Park learned of this challenge, assigned dedicated personnel to follow up, coordinated each step meticulously, and actively helped the company connect with local financial institutions and the municipal real estate registration and transaction center, while streamlining procedures such as document preparation and approval stamping. In less than a week, Liu Wei secured a bank loan.
“Drawing on the full‑chain service model of Lecong Town in Foshan, Guangdong, we are focusing on upgrading the industrial park’s capabilities, enhancing the precision of our services, and elevating brand value to accelerate the development of the wood‑industry cluster. We have established a ‘one‑on‑one’ support ledger for key enterprises and are supporting wood‑industry firms as they expand into high‑end panel products and the green smart‑home industry chain, with the goal of cultivating an additional two to three regionally distinctive brands,” said Li Xiuyu, Party Secretary of Yitang Town.
A company’s breakthrough reflects a profound transformation driven at the level of mindset. In response to the “laziness” prevalent among Party members and cadres, Lanshan District has deepened its efforts under the initiative “Liberate the Mind, Benchmark and Learn,” striving to break free from path dependency through ideological emancipation and to overcome developmental bottlenecks by benchmarking and learning from best practices. This has galvanized the entire district to take bold action, strive for excellence, and assume responsibility, leading the way in all endeavors.
Focusing on key tasks such as the high-quality development of the private sector and the commerce‑logistics industry, all levels and departments in Lanshan District have actively “gone out” to conduct on-site inspections and exchange experiences. Upholding a commitment to in-depth learning driven by concrete issues and pragmatic action aligned with clear goals, they have identified more than 130 benchmarking counterparts and over 300 specific areas for comparison. Under the theme of “learning, reflection, practice, and insight; benchmarking and striving for excellence,” participants share their insights from field visits and articulate pathways for alignment, working diligently to transform external best practices into concrete measures that address challenges and advance their work.
Lanshan District has consistently integrated benchmarking and learning from best practices with the implementation of two key campaigns—the “Campaign to Expand and Enhance the Private Economy” and the “Campaign to Elevate the Competitiveness of Commerce and Logistics”—planning and advancing them in a coordinated manner. The district has vigorously launched six major projects, including the development of an international trade ecosystem and the integration of digital ecosystems, as well as six major initiatives focused on fostering large industries and enterprises. It has formulated and issued the Three-Year Action Plan for the Private Economy and Commerce & Logistics, and introduced policy documents such as the Ten Measures for Respecting and Cultivating the Private Entrepreneurial Community. Furthermore, it has tackled priority tasks—such as empowering industrial chains through district-level departments and strengthening the Daji Digital Trade Platform—making decisive progress in these landmark efforts.
This year, China’s Daji Digital Trade Platform was successively recognized as a “Typical Application Scenario for High-Quality Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Light-Industry Firms in Shandong Province” and featured as a case study in the “White Paper on the High-Quality Development of China’s Supply Chain Service Ecosystem.” Meanwhile, the Xingang Group’s project on the research and industrialization of bionic eco‑friendly board technology was awarded the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress by Shandong Province. Lanshan District will continue to advance the initiatives of “liberating minds and benchmarking against best practices,” while strengthening work style, ensuring thorough implementation, and reinforcing accountability. This will help Party members and cadres cultivate a stronger sense of initiative, broaden their vision and strategic outlook, foster more dynamic innovative thinking, sharpen their professional expertise, adopt a more pragmatic and meticulous work ethic, and demonstrate greater perseverance. By driving development and delivering tangible results, Lanshan District will make new and even greater contributions to the city’s goal of “building a provincial regional sub-center and accelerating its transition into a trillion‑yuan‑level metropolis.”
