In recent days, Lurong Township has established a working group to conduct special safety‑production inspections of wood‑processing and trading establishments within its jurisdiction, ensuring that safety‑supervision responsibilities are firmly assigned to the production front line, standardizing business practices in the local wood‑processing sector, eliminating all kinds of safety hazards, and making every effort to build a robust safety barrier.

The working group has focused on the industry’s key risk areas, systematically inspecting the fire‑protection equipment at each processing plant, verifying that fire‑fighting tools are in good working order and effective, and meticulously checking the installation of fire‑prevention and no‑smoking signage as well as the implementation of measures to control ignition sources. Comprehensive inspections were carried out in critical zones such as production and processing workshops and open‑air lumber storage areas, with particular attention paid to details including flame‑retardant wiring throughout the premises, safety safeguards on machinery, and proper segregation and standardized stacking of lumber by category.
